Journey to ultimate fightdown!

Who wants to play an exciting fighting game with a climactic final showdown? This thing's got the best feeling numbers and-- oh crud, where'd everything go? Jimmy? Did someone trip on a wire or something? Jimmy, what's-- so sorry, one sec folks, we got this, just-- sorry, so sorry.

Journey to Ultimate Fightdown! is an absurd dark comedy about working in entertainment filled with happiness, horror, and WAY too many endings. Right before the game’s titular Fightdown, the connection suddenly goes out, stranding the characters in the black. Fortunately star Thomas Richard Harold has the Crown of Agency, allowing him to move around freely. Players guide Tommy as he gets to know his co-workers, swaps items, and tries to discover a way to restore the connection. But while Tommy may find a solution, he will also quickly discover that his backstage dealings hold unexpected on-screen consequences.

Originally prototyped as Evilslayer Ultima: Online for Global Game Jam 2021 (theme: lost and found), three months and 120,000 words later, Journey to Ultimate Fightdown! made its official debut as part of the interactive fiction competition Spring Thing in 2021. An expanded Ultimate Edition is forthcoming.

Winner: Best Ink, Best Characters, Most Endings - Audience Awards, Spring Thing 2021

Lost in translation

You are Medi8tr(TM) Economy Translator Android v4, helping to provide budget translation services to species trying to negotiate peace. Too bad your translation chip's busted, right? If you can just fake it through one last gig, you'll finally be able to afford to get patched up. Just don't get caught being defective though, or you'll be decommissioned on the spot!

Created in a weekend for Global Game Jam 2020 (theme: repair), Lost in Translation is packed with satire, politics, and silly animal faces. Players play as a translation bot concealing an unfortunate defect. Once negotiations begin, all of the sentences they receive contain a glitched word, and the player must pick a substitute word unlikely to arouse any suspicion. Oh, and of course the player’s actions will completely determine whether the negotiations succeed, but there’s no need to worry about that! That’s above your pay grade, buddy!

Please Leave by 9

It's a month after you died, and you've managed to pull together a lovely housewarming party! So lovely that it's over, and um... everyone's still here. Can you get your cool new friends to leave without ruining the chill vibe?

Please Leave By 9 was made during Global Game Jam 2019 (theme: home.) Play as a party host who recently lost their spine, and must conceive of indirect ways to inform their guests that the party is now over. Alter various aspects of the environment and interact with the monsters to try and create a vibe uninviting enough to get them to leave, but not so bad that they forget they had a good time in the first place.

The lancaster heist

On Tuesday, February 27th, 1934, the Barrow Gang robbed the R.P. Henry and Sons Bank in Lancaster, Texas. Bonnie Parker waited for over an hour in the getaway car. Perhaps this is how it went down.

The Lancaster Heist is a piece of interactive fiction that uses history as its IP. Play as Bonnie (of Bonnie and Clyde) as she waits as a lookout during the robbery that would be the Barrow Gang’s biggest take ever. Disabled and on the run, Bonnie’s life isn’t nearly as glamorous as the media portrays, but she needs to make sure she can sustain the ruse if she wants a chance to survive.

Accepted for entry into Telltale’s Creative Workshop during GDC 2017
